Recipe: Thoroughly wash a cup of rice in cold water and drain. Transfer to a saucepan with 1.5 cups of cold water. Leave it on for 30 minutes. Heat the water to a boil and simmer for 15 minutes or until the water is absorbed from the rice. Remove from heat and leave the pan with a lid on for 15 minutes.
